The timeless city

A day just like the others Rick was getting ready to go to school. But, little did he knew that, this day was going to change everything that he knew. Rick was a 13-year-old kid, which had no mother either father. He lived in a house with nuns, and he went to church every Saturday morning. The nuns told him that they never knew his father, but however, the nuns knew very well his mother. They told him that his mom was a kind and helpful person, but she was also very mysterious. Since he was 8 years old, he has been trying to live up to her mother’s ideals. However, that made him a weird kid on school and a very shy kid. He always tried to help other ones and but the other just went away from him for this. But, today the 27th of august of 2019, his birthday, all was going to change.

 

He woke up at 7:00 in the morning, as he headed downstairs to cook his breakfast, he saw something weird; there was a box full of clocks and all marked the same time, 11:00 AM. As he walked ignoring the clocks, he made his own breakfast, picked his backpack and waited for the bus on the stop sign. While he waited for the bus, a stranger started talking to him about this new brand of watches called Sir time, he tried to say no, but the bus was coming fast, and it was not going to wait for him. So, he quickly bought one and got on the bus. When he got to school, he went to class and somehow the clock in the class was on 11:00 AM also, but it was only 9:00 AM. He slept during his first class because he was tired and also didn’t comprehend anything in Spanish although his friend Dan was very good. As Dan was good at Spanish, he helped Rick in all of the exams in exchange for Ricks help on math exams. After Spanish class, Dan and Rick went for a break while all the other students went to their next class. In the 15-minute break they bought an orange juice and Rick explained to Dan what happened to him this morning. But Dan just thought that he was crazy and that it was just an unlikely coincidence. They went to history class, but they were very tired, so the teacher started calling them, to wake them up. When Rick recovered his awareness, he started copying the things written on the board, but he couldn’t keep up with the professor, suddenly when he was falling asleep, he felt something pump his heart. All of a sudden it was 11:00 AM and the time just had stopped, he saw all of his classmates including Dan, just freeze. The paper that one of his classmates had thrown to the teacher just stayed in thin air. Rick was freaking out, he ran out of school, but before he knew it there was a portal opening up right on his face. 

 

A few minutes later, after no one had come out of the portal, he decided to go throw this portal. At the end of the portal there was a futuristic civilization in which every wall had 5 clocks with different hours. He was completely amazed by the city, but everyone talked a language that he didn’t understand. Until someone, a kind of robotic guide talked to him in English, as he introduced himself to the robotic guide, the robotic guide was taking him to the governor of the city which was named the timeless city, this because there was absolutely no time in the city, all the things move slow and some of them just stayed were they were. Rick was so confused that nothing crossed throw his mind. After a long walk, they finally arrived at the governor’s room. As the door opened, he saw a person with a similar look as himself. But before he knew it, he was meeting his father Sir Time. He was stunned, and he didn’t even know what was more stunning, the fact that his father was a king of an emporium or the fact that he was alive and didn’t took care of Rick not one second. They told him that the reason he was called for, was to take control of the emporium as his father was already been ruling for 65 years and the change of governor is every 66 years in human time. Also, Rick was the only one has the powers of controlling time. At first, Rick refused to the charge, but eventually he agreed.

 

After this meeting he began his practice for governor, and the practice for controlling his powers of time. They explain to him that he had the powers of time were the most powerful as he could go to the future, the past, and even different realities. But however, his powers didn’t work in the timeless city. So, they took him to earth where he would practice for 6 months on how to control his powers. After 6 months of training he was ready to announce himself as the new governor of the timeless city. But when he was about to become governor, his father opposed to him. His father tried to attack him, because he said that Rick would bring the timeless city to the ruins. But quickly the guards took him to the jail because of madness. The announcement could now continue. After the announcement, Rick took place on his father’s room, when he heard screaming from the people in the city at him, because according to the he was not the rightful king. The protest continues for a long time, until Rick lost it, he commanded all the guards on the elite of the timeless city to kill all those who protest. And then, the destruction began, soon 1/3 of the population in timeless city had disappeared. But the people continued complaining and protesting they just didn’t stand the fact that Rick a now 14-year-old boy was sitting in the throne, while the king that they wanted was on jail. Finally, Rick was so mad at his citizens, that gathered all the scientists in timeless city and made them make a virus that will absolutely wipe out all of the population except for him and his father. After he was giving an announcement, already the population had disappeared and the last words they heard were “You didn’t want me, so I made you free of me”.

 

He finally decided to go and talk with his dad, he told him that he had erased all of the population of timeless city. The father nodded and told him that himself was right, he never had brought Rick to the city, and that he was sorry for all of the citizens. Rick’s Dad was in a rage attack, and in that attack, he grabbed a spear that was near to him and stabbed Rick right in the chest. And as he could use his powers in the timeless city, he was going to be dead just in a matter of seconds.  But, out of nowhere he punches the table in which he had fell asleep and realizes he was in history class and that he needed to take notes.

Summary:

Basically, my story is called the timeless city, it is a story about a 13-year-old boy named Rick that was an orphan and grew up with nuns. A normal day he woke up and saw a box full of clocks marking 11:00 AM. He went to school and after the first two ours, he was falling asleep, but at 11:00 AM time just stop and the only one who could move was Rick. After he ran out of school and saw a portal open. As he went throw the portal he meet a guide that told him the reason why the time had stopped, and it was that his father was the king of the timeless city, a city where there was absolutely no time, but his father was tired of being king so they called Rick to replace him. After, a few months of training for being king, but when the time comes to become king, his father opposes because he says that he is going to end with the timeless city. So, he became king, people started to oppose so he made them disappear. Finally, when there was no one to rule he talked to his father that was on jail, and his father punched him really hard in the chest. And Rick wakes up and the dream is over.
